Samsung announced 3 new smart tri-band phones with 65k color screens, build-in VGA digital cameras and MMC card slots. Samsung D700 is using the Symbian OS and Series 60 UI platform and has a rotating LCD. Pictures and video clips can be captured and transferred by MMS or email. The i500 is based on Palm OS 5.2, while i700 uses Microsoft PocketPC 2002, Phone Edition. These two devices can do everything a PDA can do, but are significantly lighter. Unlike some competing models, they can be used as phones without additional accessories.
