THE 2002 BARMEN GRAND PRIX, TRNC Barmen Competition:
The
TRNC Barmen Grand Prix Organisation of 27th August was very
successful
The barmen and barmaids throughout the TRNC
gathered with the participants and had a wonderful lunch.
In addition to this they collected useful information about
RedBull.
The general manager of RedBull İstanbul,
Turkey, Serkan Barutçu gave a briefing about RedBull in
his opening speech and the participants were given more detailed
information.
The director of RedBull TRNC, Namık Doygun,
informed the participants about the continuity of the organisation
and work shops which will be held to develop their skills
to ensure greater success.
After lunch 60 barmen and barmaids
set out as a convoy towards ZET
CARTINGS. The number of observers and their interest
increased the excitement of the competition.
After the participants had covered their rounds
the first six competitors set off the barmen and barmaids
competing against time, raced in a very competitive competition.
Those who came in the top three out of these competitions
are as follows;
1. Hakan Dağhan (Garden House Restaurant)
2. Tolga Beşir (Tabu XL)
3. Fahrettin Çiçek (Merit Crystal Cove)
Hakan Dağhan's award was given by Serkan
Barutçu. (Head of RedBull Gastronomy in İstanbul, Turkey)
Tolga Beşir's awards was given by Namık Doygun. (The TRNC
RedBull Director)
Fahrettin Çiçek's awards was given by Serkan Bülbülcü (TRNC
RedBull Marketing Manager)
While The cups and awards were being presented,
Mr. Serkan and Mr. Namık informed the press that the TRNC
RedBull activities would continue. The organisation ended.
